Nourishing Connections: Meals On Wheels Program

At the Chugiak-Eagle River Senior Center, our Meals on Wheels (MOW) program thrives thanks to the generosity and support of our community. Funded through individual donations and grants, we deliver nutritious lunches Monday through Friday to home-bound seniors and physically frail adults in the Chugiak-Eagle River area. To accommodate the weekend, we also deliver two frozen meals with Friday's delivery, ensuring our seniors have access to healthy food throughout the week.

Who is Eligible?

• Individuals aged 60 and above who are unable to attend congregate meals at the senior center due to being home-bound, disabled, or ill.
• Those unable to travel due to extreme weather or emergency conditions.
• Disabled individuals under 60 living with persons aged 60 and above.
• Spouses or family members residing with seniors aged 60 and above.

How It Works

Seniors 60+ eat FREE. Donations are accepted and appreciated but not mandatory. Additionally, we are proud to be a Medicaid Choice Waiver provider, ensuring accessibility for those in need.
